Aliamanu Military Reserve, Hawaii
Project Description
Serving the US Army Base, Fort Shafter, this military neighborhood needed a lift station replacement package to be installed adjacent to the existing lift station. The Army and Romtec Utilities configured this submersible centrifugal pump station to pump the medium flow of municipal wastewater. The outdoor control panel utilizes conductive probes for primary and backup level controls and an autodialer for communications. A new generator was installed at grade above an existing generator pit. The owner supplied shelters for the panel and onsite generator.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Aqua Engineers, Inc. was contracted by the US Army in Hawaii to provide water and wastewater systems. For this wastewater lift station replacement, Romtec Utilities was contacted to provide Aqua Engineers help finalizing its designs and locating the lift station in a site plan. The US Army and Aqua Engineers specified a preference for using the City and County of Honolulu design standards for wastewater lift stations with the replacement. Romtec Utilities met the requested design standards and provided a site plan layout that was practical for the design and location. In the end, Aqua Engineers chose to purchase the complete Romtec Utilities package lift station, and Romtec Utilities provided the necessary plans and pricing to ship the package to Hawaii.
