High Temperatures
Pump Stations for Hot Water & High Temperature Fluids
Get Robust Components Suitable for Operation with High-Temperature Water
Our engineers provide experience configuring pumping systems that handle very hot water. We utilize tested and documented components that are verified for operation in high heat conditions. Your system will include durable components that also meet your full criteria for system functionality.
Design Engineering Documents Detail Your Complete System
Our engineered drawings include complete documentation that clearly list the full scope of system components with data sheets and specifications for operation in high-temperature environments. It also includes the full scope of services provided by Romtec Utilities.
We Provide the Best Structural Materials to Handle Your Water Conditions
Romtec Utilities engineers robust pumping systems that are built to withstand all types of pumping applications. We fabricate systems with wells out of concrete, fiberglass, and stainless steel and offer many types of coatings. Each can be well suited in a high-temperature pumping environment.
Your Entire Pumping System and Controls are Warrantied for 1-Year
After Romtec Utilities completes the commissioning or start-up of your system, our technician will perform testing and training. With the system fully tested for operation and handling high temperature water conditions on-site, Romtec Utilities will warranty the entire station, typically for 1 year.
High Temperatures Projects
Exelon West Medway Generating Station | Power Plant Pumping Systems
30 – 70 GPM | 10′ – 35′ TDH
The expansion of the Exelon Medway Generating Station required four unique pump stations to support future operations.
Orlando Utility Commission | HRSG Blowdown Pump Station
100, 800 GPM | 85.6′, 135′ TDH
Romtec Utilities was hired to design and supply pump stations to support a combined-cycle power generation process that requires significant amounts of recirculated water to function for the Orlando Utility Commission in Orlando, FL.
Middletown Energy Center | HRSG Blowdown and Process Pumping
480-850 GPM | 25′-35′ TDH
Construction of a new combined cycle power plant in Middletown, OH required 3 pump stations for the operation of its HRSG system.
Dan River Steam Station | Combined Cycle Blow Down Pumping
300 GPM | 20′ TDH
Duke Energy replaced the Dan River Steam Station with a new gas fired power plant and needed a new pump station to handle medium flows of blow down water from the heat recovery steam generator.
Occidental Petroleum at Elk Hills, Inc. | Industrial Water Reuse
200 GPM | 115′ TDH
This package pump station was configured to meet the medium flow requirements for this clean water power generation process and reuse system. The system has a large precast-concrete rectangular sump with a barrier wall –or weir wall- to reduce turbulence for the pumps.
Basin Electric Power Cooperative | Clean Water Industrial Pumping
130 GPM | 45′ TDH
The Groton Generating Station needed this package lift station to pump clean water as a part of its power generating processes from natural gas. The submersible centrifugal pumps in a duplex configuration meet the pumping requirements for this facility and discharge the water to parallel force mains.

With Romtec Utilities you gain the support of our dedicated project management team at every step-from planning through installation. Romtec Utilities covers a vast scope of services that help execute the design, supply, construction, testing, and training of your pump system to ensure its success at the site location.
Manufacturing
Romtec Utilities provides a high level of system prefabrication prior to delivery of the system to the jobsite. This greatly reduces construction cost and installation time, as well as potential project delays and change orders. This high level of prefabrication can often reduce installation time from weeks to days. Additionally, Romtec Utilities takes pride in our quality control processes, ensuring that when the system is delivered to the job site everything will function as designed.
Construction
Romtec Utilities ensures the quality and success of every pumping system from the early stages of design, all the way through installation and construction. Romtec Utilities will send experienced installation advisors to the site who will advise the installing contractor throughout the installation process providing all parties with the reassurance that the station is constructed and ultimately functioning as designed.
Commissioning
Romtec Utilities’ startup, testing, and training services are essential to the success of any pumping system. Following installation our technicians are on-site working directly with all parties to field check the control panel, operate the pumps, perform system testing, and provide world class training to all maintenance personnel.
Warranty
With Romtec Utilities, every complete pump station is covered with a standard one-year warranty. Romtec Utilities also provides ongoing support from our entire team throughout the lifetime of our products. This support is provided to ensure that every pump and lift station project is successful.
