Federal Law Enforcement Training Center – Lift Station Replacement
This replacement wastewater lift station was designed to meet the medium sewage flow requirements of this federal training facility. Submersible solids-handling pumps in a duplex configuration pumps the effluent through in-well valves and out a three-inch force main. An outdoor alternator panel handles the controls for this package lift station. It was designed with floats for liquid level sensing and a basic alarm. The wet well is accessible with a traffic-rated hatch.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Romtec Utilities designed this lift station as the first of two lift station replacements for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Romtec Utilities worked with the FLETC to determine an appropriate plan. One of the first considerations is the amount of space available for construction. At this site, there was not additional space to install the new lift station adjacent to the existing one, which is typically faster and cheaper. Romtec Utilities advised the FLETC on the process for using bypass pumping to remove the existing lift station. The Native American Services Corporation and Northcon, Inc. installed the new lift station, and with an on-site advisor from Romtec Utilities, the new lift station was installed quickly to cut down the time required for bypass pumping.
