Ebara Fluid Handling
Romtec Utilities frequently specifies Ebara pumps in pump station designs for wastewate, stormwater, and industrial applications. Ebara is fast becoming one of America’s most reliable and cost-effective pumping options for all types of pumping systems, and Romtec Utilities gets a lot of projects approved that feature Ebara pumps. Although Romtec Utilities has no exclusive pump affiliations, the high-standards, reliability, superior lead-times, and economical costs offered through Ebara make its pumps a very valuable option for new pumping system designs.
Lakehurst Naval Air Station|Trenton, NJ|250 GPM - 24.77' TDH
This wastewater lift station was designed to meet the standards of the Lakehurst Naval Air Station while remaining cost effective. A duplex pump configuration utilized submersible 7.5 HP Weil Slicer Pumps to handle suspended solids in the sewage. A UL listed control panel was designed and manufactured in a NEMA 4 enclosure for outdoor operation. Nolta floats were used for the in-well liquid level sensing. The below-grade structural components were designed and supplied precast concrete vaults painted with a marine epoxy exterior coating to prevent moisture incursion.
Shea Center | Huntington Beach, CA | 1800 GPM - 28.19' TDH
A new 144,000 square feet, two building industrial center needed a large stormwater pump station to handle the runoff from the site. This triplex system includes a fourth, “jockey” pump to handle low flow dry-season runoff. The three large pumps are 20 hp Ebara submersible pumps designed for redundant pumping during high flow events. A pressure transducer serves as the primary level-sensing device and operates inside of a perforated stilling well designed to prevent solids from interfering with the sensor. The electrical controls are configured with a logic relay, intrinsically safe circuits, and communications.
Bay Meadows | San Mateo, CA | 1218 GPM - 96' TDH
After the historic Bay Meadows racetrack closed down, a large residential development began that required this large wastewater lift station. A triplex configuration of 30 hp Flygt pumps handles the high flow rates of this system. A blower system was provided as part of the lift station odor control specified by the City. The lift station electrical controls comprised a PLC, float control level-sensors, and a backup generator. The panel includes an Arc Armor® enclosure that provides safe access to low-voltage controls and separate access for high-voltage circuits.
