U.S. Department of Energy, Hanford, Washington – 2704 HV Complex
Project Description
This package lift station was designed to meet the medium sewage flow requirements of an industrial and commercial lift station. The duplex pump configuration and solids-handling pumps provide suitable preventative measures for a reliable and long-term wastewater lift station. Added odor control improves the air quality of the facility to promote a hospitable work environment. An alternator panel with float controls and an autodialer alarm comprise a functional control panel for this package lift station.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
This historic federal facility dates back to 1943 when it was used to create plutonium in World War II. Although the facility has gone through highly publicized environmental cleanups, aspects of its operation are still high-security. Romtec Utilities worked with the Hanford Energy engineering staff to design a lift station capable of meeting its pumping goals. Choosing a package lift station system allowed Hanford Energy to easily get the system it needed while not compromising the security of the facility. The Romtec Utilities lift station documentation clearly specified the total system components, the complete delivery schedule, and the dates for on-site services. This process created a clear level of expectation and execution to alleviate security concerns.
