Crystal Creek Developers, LLC – Community Stormwater Pump Station
Project Description
A new mixed-use community development needed a stormwater pump station to handle medium flows of stormwater from the community. This pump station design features a flooded inlet line, allowing the precast concrete wet well to be installed at shallower depth. This system includes two 5 hp Ebara pumps in a duplex configuration to meet the pumping rates. A series floats are used to measure the in-well levels, and a UL-listed alternating control panel operates to start and stop pumps on level. This system was designed to fully discharge into a detention pond. The pump station control panel is located in a NEMA 4X fiberglass enclosure designed for outdoor and all-weather installations.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Crystal Creek Developers, LLC contacted RU directly for the design and supply of this stormwater pump station. We worked with the Crystal Creek Developers’ site engineer, EDG Texas, to complete this pump station design. Romtec Utilities included several cost reducing design features for this system to keep the developer within its budget and to improve the lead time of the system. Romtec Utilities manufactured, fabricated, and supplied the pump station directly to Crystal Creek Developers for installation at its 23-acre mixed-use development. Romtec Utilities provided an onsite construction adviser to assist Crystal Creek Developers during the installation. A start-up technician was sent after construction was completed to commission the system and provide testing and training for the owners.
