Industrial Development Wastewater for Northside Logistics Center in Nampa, ID
Industrial Development Wastewater Pump Station Project Assets
Distribution Center Wastewater Pump Station
Romtec Utilities provided this industrial development wastewater lift station for Northside Logisitics Center in Nampa, Idaho.
The Class A industrial development project boasts excellent freeway frontage and is immediately adjacent to the newly built Northside & I-84 interchange. This front park, rear load building will be equipped with dock high and grade level doors, on-site trailer parking, ESFR sprinklers, 208′ truck courts, dock and grade level access, ample outdoor storage, and 32’ of clear height.
LDK, the developer, is looking at potential tenants for this new industrial space, and noticed a need for increased water use, requiring a wastewater pump station. Romtec Utilities worked with T-O Engineers to develop a sizing configuration and scope that met the infrastructure requirements for the site and the anticipated tenants.
We developed preliminary plans and specifications that allowed T-O to receive approval and bid to install contractors. Ultimately, this project was awarded to Lurre Construction.
Nampa Idaho Wastewater Lift Station
Nampa, Idaho is a city 20 miles west of Boise and it’s the most populous city in Canyon County.
Nampa had a population of 100,200 at the 2020 census making it Idaho’s third most populous city. The population has increased from 81,557 at the 2010 census, making Nampa a fast-growing city in the western U.S.
The city is on Interstate 84, about 6 miles west of Meridian. It is the second principal city of the Boise metropolitan area. The Oregon border is about 35 miles to the west of Nampa.
Lake Lowell is a major lake with various recreation sites bordering Nampa on the southern edge. Nampa is about 200 miles from Pendleton, Oregon, and since it’s along Interstate 84, it’s a main route for semi-trucks transporting goods. This fact ties into the project, as this city is the perfect site for industrial development based on its location.
Nampa has other attractions including the Warhawk Air Museum, Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, Indian Creek Winery, Snake River Stampede, Midway Park, West Park, Mettle Sports Nampa, Regal Edwards Nampa Spectrum, Ridgecrest Golf Club, RedHawk Public Golf Course, DEFY Boise, Rollerdrome Skating Rink, Canyon County Historical Society’s Nampa Train Depot Museum, and Lake Lowell Park.
Lake Lowell is managed by the Bureau of Reclamation and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. This 14.5 square mile (9,800-acre) reservoir, with 28 miles of shoreline, lies within the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge. Boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing are the major recreation activities at Lake Lowell, located about 5 miles southwest of Nampa.
