Carson City, Nevada Multi Phase Wastewater Lift Station
For this residential development, Valley Knolls, Romtec Utilities engineered and manufactured a multi-phase wastewater lift station to provide for the now and future flows of the housing project. We worked with the developers, KDH Builders, on this residential development to provide this multi-phase wastewater lift station to the area.
This residential housing development in Carson City, Nevada is in Douglas County and will include 178 single family homes and 96 triplex units. It also has a community center and recreational facilities. Manhard Consulting, the site engineer, contacted us about this project after we worked with them on another Douglas County project which we called Clear Creek.
This multi-phase wastewater lift station will start with 100 gallon per minute pumps and will work up to 900-1000 gallons per minute pumps. Douglas County is the end owner of the lift station for this housing development.
The wastewater lift station features a precast wet well, Flygt submersible pumps for all three phases varying in horsepower, a Scada Pak primary controller, H20 hatch, diesel generator, NEMA enclosure, radio modem, MJK pressure transducers for primary level sensing, and floats for backup level sensing.
Now And Future Flows Wastewater Lift Station
The Valley Knolls Development in Carson City, Nevada was a sprawling new housing development by KDH Builders, LLC.
Carson City is the capital of Nevada and very close to Lake Tahoe, a popular vacation destination. Carson City is about 30 minutes south of Reno, Nevada and is on the eastern edge of the Carson Range, which is a branch of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range.
The Valley Knolls Development is in north Douglas County at the east end of Topsy Lane. It will have up to 178 single family units and 96 triplex units.
The development also includes a community center and recreational facilities to enhance the community’s livability.
The city’s infrastructure was not able to accommodate this many new homes, so the development required a new wastewater lift station.
Multi-Phase Residential Wastewater Lift Station
Romtec Utilities performed on the previous Douglas County and Carson City development project with Manhard Consulting: Clear Creek. Manhard Consulting remembered the ease of working with Romtec Utilities and brought us into this project as well.
The station is very similar to the Clear Creek development in Carson City , but this station is a multi-phase project starting with approximately 100 GPM pumps and working up to 900-1000 GPM pumps. Douglas County in Nevada will be the end owner of the lift station.
Three Phase Wastewater Lift Station
Peek Brothers was the general contractor who also installed the lift station on behalf of the developer KDH Builders. The site engineer was Manhard Consulting while the electrical engineer was Jensen Electric.
Romtec Utilities has worked with developers all over the country on housing projects like Valley Knolls. We design, manufacture, and supply wastewater pump stations for these types of developments on a regular basis and our systems are largely prefabricated, saving a ton of money on installation for the developer. Additionally, Romtec Utilities bases the design on the standards of the owning entity to ensure approval of the system and easy long-term maintenance.
At Romtec Utilities we have provided multi-phase wastewater lift stations for large residential developments that are built in phases. These systems provide pumping for the now and future flows, taking into consideration the long-term view of the project while planning and executing for later stages as well. We work with developers, engineers, contractors, and architects to develop a system that will meet the needs of the project, site, and overall development.
We provide a complete package pumping system that includes the design, manufacturing, and supply along with providing an on-site tech for installation. Romtec Utilities also provides commissioning services, training for maintenance personnel, and a robust warranty to provide complete coverage of the system. Our team of engineers work with the owners and municipalities to design a system that has the controls and functionality necessary for the project.
Contact us today to get started on your multi-phase wastewater lift station. We can design the system to fit both now and future flows, saving costs on multiple systems by designing it for both uses.
