City of Battle Ground, Washington – Triplex Lift Station Design
Project Description
This stormwater lift station was designed for the City of Battle Ground to support the “now and future” needs of a developing area. This was achieved by designing the system to operate with large submersible pumps in a triplex configuration to meet the expected “future” flow rates. To meet the current flow rates, the City only installed two pumps, storing the third. The outdoor PLC panel was configured for three pumps but was also capable of controls for two pumps until the thirds is installed. The panel tied-in to an on-site generator supplied by the contractor.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
The City of Battle Ground and Mackay Sposito, Inc. (Civil E.) utilized Romtec Utilities to assist in the design phase of a stormwater lift station project. The City did not specify Romtec Utilities to supply the lift station, and the project was awarded to Rotschy, Inc. for the supply, manufacturing, and installation of the Romtec Utilities design. After being selected, Rotschy relied on Romtec Utilities’ expert documentation process to submit a package that included components supplied by Romtec Utilities, Rotschy, and additional vendors. Romtec Utilities provided start-up services for the lift station to ensure the package operated as intended in the design.
