I am in the early planning stages of a project that aims to divert, capture, reuse, and/or infiltrate flood flows from a small flood conveyance canal in central CA. Estimated flood flows are in the 230 cfs (100,000 gpm) range. I need to lift the water 5 to10 feet to get it out of the canal and into a recharge/reuse basin. My thought is that I could divert flow using a pneumatic dam into a wet well structure, where it could be pumped into a large (up to 80 acre) basin to be infiltrated, stored, or reused for irrigation. I’m looking for planning-level costs for the pump station, and I’m hoping someone at Romtec can help. I have funding…
