Kimberly, Idaho Residential Development Wastewater Lift Station
For this residential development wastewater lift station, Romtec Utilities designed the system for the Olsen Farms neighborhood. The new housing development has 127 lots for single family homes in Kimberly, Idaho and needed a lift station that will be owned and maintained by the City of Kimberly. We worked with the city on the design based on some other systems they owned. All of this was done along with the developer, 3 Emeralds, who was required to purchase the system. Project Engineering Consultants was the civil engineer we worked with, who later was sold to Consor Engineering.
The wastewater lift station features duplex Sulzer pumps, Micrologixs primary controller, pressure transducer, and a precast valve vault. As the development grows, this system is set up to pump 113 gallons per minute based on the pumping needs of the residential housing development for all 127 homes. Our team worked on this housing development wastewater lift station to meet both now and future flows, as the entire community is built out.
Kimberly Idaho Community Project
Kimberly is a small city in Idaho within Twin Falls County near Twin Falls along U.S. Route 30. With a population of less than 5,000 reported in the 2020 census, about 25% more people than reported in the 2010 census, this charming city needed to make space for more residents.
The Snake River flows just north of Kimberly creating various falls, recreational areas, and scenic outlooks. Kimberly is situated in an area known as Magic Valley, primarily for its agriculture and natural beauty. Boise, the capital of Idaho, is about a two-hour drive along Interstate 84 to the northwest.
Community Development Wastewater Lift Station
Olsen Farms is a new housing development of 127 lots for single family homes in Kimberly, Idaho which needed a lift station to be owned and operated by the City of Kimberly, ID. Romtec Utilities contracted directly with the developer, 3 Emeralds, LLC.
Romtec Utilities based the preliminary design of sample systems owned by the City of Kimberly as the city does not have written standards. Romtec Utilities submitted to the civil engineer on this project, Project Engineering Consultants (Consor Engineering), who then submitted to the City of Kimberly for approval.
Following the project, PEC was bought out by Consor Engineering. Consor is a project engineering consultant providing a variety of engineering services with several offices throughout the U.S.
