Levake Construction was the installing contractor on behalf of the Liberty Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Levake is based out of Arizona and provides a variety of construction services.

The wastewater lift station features a 4′ diameter wet well, 3″ discharge piping, (2) GOULDS 2GV 1.8HP pumps, and a 3″ 577 concrete valve vault. Along with the underground wet well, the valve vault, was designed to sit underground with a traffic rated hatch by ej so that vehicles can drive over the system at low speeds. The valves include a ball valve so that there is an operational valve to cut water off completely from the pump and a check valve to prevent backflow from the pump.

This is a relatively small lift station, so Romtec Utilities included a drop bowl to prevent wastewater from cascading over the pumps and into the well. The drop bowl will control the flow to the bottom of the wet well where the pumps are located.

The wildlife rehabilitation facility’s wastewater pumping system can pump up to 62 gallons per minute to manage all the sewer flows from the center.
