The Portland International Airport (PDX) needed a very large pump station to discharge high volumes of stormwater to a runoff creek from one of its runways.

To accommodate a new private terminal and hanger, Portland Airport needed a new wastewater lift station to handle a medium flow of sewage from the new buildings.

This lift station serves a large area and was installed at Santa Barbara Municipal Airport as part of a larger project. Two submersible solids handling pumps are supported by a jockey pump that acts as a sump pump for periods of low flow. An impressive control building contains the UL listed control panel, a backup diesel generator and automatic transfer switch, electric meter main, and ferrous chloride odor controls. The electrical controls interface directly with the existing detailed SCADA system used by the Goleta Sanitary District.
