USDA Forest Service – Federal Sewer Lift Station
Project Description
The Green Ridge Campground purchased this lift station replacement that was configured to meet the medium sewage flow requirements of the site. Submersible solids handling pumps in a duplex configuration are protected from influent and turbulence by an inlet line drop bowl. An in-ground valve vault provides easy access to the system valves, actuators, and access port. A UL listed control panel employs float controls for liquid level-sensing and includes an autodialer and basic alarm. The panel was installed on the exterior wall of an existing building.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
The United States Forest Service contacted Romtec Utilities to get preliminary designs and budgetary pricing for a wastewater lift station at a campground, boat launch, and RV site. The Forest Service elected to take the project out to bid. Romtec Utilities provided competitive pricing to each project bidder, and the winning bid from Tusca KS Inc. included the Romtec Utilities pricing in its proposal. Tusca KS Inc. then worked with Romtec Utilities to reach a final approved design and deliver the lift station supply package. This process gave the US Forest Service competitive pricing on the complete design, supply, and installation of this lift station system.
