Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
For an expanding city like Clovis, this wastewater lift station design had to address immediate needs while providing expansion possibilities for future needs.
Romtec Utilities worked with the civil engineer, Lydick Engineers, to create a design document that would specify the exact lift station needed. Lydick Engineers is an engineering and survey company based out of New Mexico.
The city awarded the project to Mark Carpenter Plumbing, Inc. using the complete design document in its specification. Mark Carpenter Plumbing is also based in New Mexico and provides plumbing and HVAC services.
Romtec Utilities worked with the contractor and their budget to maintain the design specifications and their anticipated costs. This process ensured that Romtec Utilities met all the needs of the City of Clovis, Lydick Engineers, and Mark Carpenter Plumbing, Inc.
An expanding sewer system for annexed land required this packaged wastewater lift station. Duplex submersible solids handling pumps are designed to meet the medium flow requirements and pass solids up to a 2” diameter. To save space, the system valves are integrated into the discharge piping in the sump. An outdoor control panel utilizes floats for liquid level-sensing and an intrinsically safe barrier for in-well electrical components. The electrical controls are wall mounted.
The Municipal Sewer Expansion Lift Station for the City of Clovis features an 8′ diameter wet well, 3″ discharge piping, and two Goulds pumps.
The system can pump 100 gallons a minute with a future flow of 800 gallons a minute.
Romtec Utilities designs, manufactures, and supplies wastewater lift stations for cities all over the country, working with civil engineers, architects, general contractors, and specialty utility contractors.
We have the experience to design a pump system to meet the exact specifications as we did for this project to meet current needs and expansion possibilities for future needs.
