Doheny Village – Duplex Wastewater Lift Station
Project Description
The City of Dana Point, California wanted to improve the Doheny Village neighborhood as part of a revitalization effort. One improvement included a new wastewater lift station to handle medium sewage flows from a new condominium development. To meet the flow requirements, 5 hp Ebara submersible pumps engineered in a duplex configuration were included in the design. NOLTA float controls are used as the primary and backup liquid-level sensing devices. The lift station also uses a Kohler diesel generator as the permanent onsite generator.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
There have been several plans for the improvement of the Doheny Village neighborhood over the years. These plans kept getting postponed due to budget limitations in the past. Fuscoe Engineering originally contacted Romtec Utilities with this development lift station project. Working with Fuscoe Engineering and Zephyr Partners, the developer, Romtec Utilities designed this lift station and a separate stormwater system. Once the project was out to bid, our systems were selected for the job. Romtec Utilities supplied the package lift station and it was successfully installed by the awarded contractor, Murrieta Development.
