Pacific Gas and Electric Company – Industrial Stormwater and Sewer
Project Description
These three package lift stations were designed to meet medium flows of industrial process water with added low flows of industrial stormwater and wastewater. Submersible centrifugal pumps in a duplex configuration were specified to meet the peak flows and water chemistry identified for each pump station. UL listed control panels with floats for liquid level-sensing and basic alarms comprise the system controls for the lift stations. These packaged lift stations were integrated into stormwater, processing, and wastewater plans for the new construction of the Colusa Generating Station.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) needed three new lift stations as part of the construction of the Colusa Generating Station, and it chose Romtec Utilities as the designer, manufacturer, and supplier for the plant’s water infrastructure pumping needs. Romtec Utilities worked first with the civil engineering firm, Worley Parsons, to design each lift station for each specific purpose. Clear documentation was created for every lift station to specify the exact configurations, manufacturing, and supply. The project’s general contractor, Gemma Power Systems, then purchased the three lift stations for installation. Romtec Utilities provided all the necessary specifications and components to provide three long-term package lift station solutions.
