Pahrump, Nevada Duplex Fiberglass Lift Station
For this fiberglass lift station in Pahrump, Nevada, the Nye County Public Works required a solution to support the area’s growing infrastructure needs. Romtec Utilities was introduced to the project by the engineering firm, WSI International, to provide an expansion lift station.
Romtec Utilities designed, manufactured, and supplied the complete wastewater lift station to meet the specific pumping requirements of the project.
A Xerxes fiberglass tank was selected for this duplex lift station due to its reliability and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional concrete and steel tanks. These fiberglass tanks are available with double-wall construction and integrated leak detection, providing enhanced environmental protection by preventing leakage or leaching into the surrounding ground.
The lift station is equipped with Flygt pumps, a Siemens ultrasonic pressure transducer, and a Siemens HydroRanger control system housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure. The system is capable of pumping up to 2,500 gallons per minute.
Romtec Utilities partners with communities across the country to provide turnkey wastewater lift station solutions that support infrastructure expansion and growth.

Duplex Fiberglass Package Pump Station Project
WSI International, LLC brought Romtec Utilities into this project located in Nevada for a wastewater lift station for the Nye County Public Works department. This was after we had completed a fiberglass lift station project in Loleta, California. WSI International was the engineer for this project.
As the community continued to grow, the need for a new wastewater lift station became increasingly evident. Romtec Utilities partnered with TRC, a leading global consulting, engineering, and construction management firm, to develop and deliver the system.

Designing The Duplex fiberglass Tank Pumping System
The pump systems have a Xerxes fiberglass barrel, (2) Flygt pumps, Siemens ultrasonic pressure transducer, XPS-15, Siemens HydroRanger control – 3 PHASE / 480V / NEMA 4 enclosure. There is a RACO verbatim autodialer and an electrical junction box with controls to the pump station.
This duplex fiberglass lift station has a Xerxes tank. One of the best design features of fiberglass is its ability to be manufactured with a double-wall and leak detection. A fiberglass tank has a high level of reliability and cost savings compared to concrete and steel tanks.
The duplex fiberglass lift station is designed to pump 2500 gallons per minute. The wet well features a 12′ diameter, 8″ discharge piping, NP3202 Flygt pumps, and a 10″ – 10″ diameter valve vault.
Double-wall fiberglass tanks provide notably robust wet-well material. These tanks prevent a wet well from leaking or leaching into the surrounding environment.
Pahrump Utility Company provides maintenance and upkeep of the pump system. Sati Construction was the installing contractor while M&M Electric, Inc. was the electrical contractor for the installation.
