Phoenix, Arizona Mixed Use Development Wastewater Lift Station
For this mixed-use residential development wastewater lift station, Romtec Utilities provided the owners with a system to meet this premium downtown residential and commercial setting that provides a variety of amenities. This mixed-use development wastewater lift station is housed inside of the building, a unique building that features pools, a spa, lounge and kitchen, cabanas, citrus groves, and the largest multifamily pool in Phoenix.
We worked with the owner and engineers as space was limited on the site, to come to the conclusion that the system would be housed within the building. This high-rise mixed-use development will be home to almost 750 residential units with a variety of amenities that make this downtown Phoenix project a must see. The pumping system will be for sanitary sewer along with flush water from the pools and spas.
Phoenix is the capital of the desert land of Arizona where multiple cities come together to make up the metropolitan area in the Valley of the Sun.
Known for its many golf courses, resorts, parks, and hikes, the Phoenix area is a scenic area to live or visit.
The population of Phoenix was over 1.6 million at the 2020 census making it the fifth most populous city in the U.S.

Residential Sewer Lift Station Design
The system is inside of the building due to limited space. The engineers needed to know that custom systems from Romtec Utilities allowed for a more flexible design and create opportunities for wastewater systems to be installed inside of the building.
The developers needed to know that if space is limited, you can put the pump system inside the building. Even though it’s not ideal, we were still able to accomplish this.
