Clark Regional Wastewater District – Jessie Hollow Residential Development
Project Description
Krippner Homes needed a new lift station to handle medium flows of sanitary sewer from a new residential development. Submersible, Flygt solids-handling pumps were engineered in this system to meet the design standards of the local water district. The prefabricated valve vault contains operation valves, and it also includes a bypass pumping port for maintenance and force main access. A programmable logic controller, or PLC, was designed and supplied for this system. The control panel included a color touchscreen interface for easy operation and maintenance. The panel also included phase monitoring to protect electrical components from premature failure in the case of an out-of-phase power supply.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Romtec Utilities began working with Clark Regional Wastewater District in Washington to develop a new standard sewer lift station design. This standard was specifically for residential development projects that were smaller than the typical capacity of the CRWWD lift station standard. With this standard, Romtec Utilities began working with Krippner Homes, the developer, and their engineer, AKS Engineering. Working with Krippner and AKS, Romtec Utilities provided a lift station design that satisfied the design requirements for the new development while also meeting the new CRWWD standard. Romtec then supplied the lift station components which were installed by Tapani Underground, Inc.
