City of Sebastopol – Municipal Wastewater Lift Station
Project Description
This package lift station was configured to meet the medium sewage flow requirements for 34 new housing units constructed by Burbank Housing Development Corporation. Submersible solids handling pumps in a duplex configuration pump to a below-grade valve assembly. This separate precast concrete vault provides easy access to system valves, indicators, and actuators. A sheltered, outdoor UL listed control panel is connected to an onsite emergency backup generator, and it utilizes float controls for primary and backup level sensing. This lift station integrates into the City of Sebastopol’s sewage treatment system.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Romtec Utilities was contacted for packaged lift station designs in order to satisfy the municipal wastewater infrastructure for this low-income development by the Burbank Housing Development Corporation. This project was time-consuming in the review process with the City of Sebastopol. After first contacting Romtec Utilities, Burbank Housing worked on this project for three years before the lift station was installed. Romtec Utilities continued to work with Burbank Housing and Kincheloe Engineering to provide multiple variations of the design, the components, and multiple quotes to help the project succeed. In the end, the final submittals were approved and each agency was able to accomplish its goal with this lift station.
