City of Kelso – Submersible Wastewater Lift Station
Project Description
A new development for a commercial park needed this wastewater lift station to connect the development to the municipal sewer system. Submersible centrifugal pumps in a duplex configuration were engineered to meet the medium flow high head conditions of the force main. This system needs to pump at a predefined flow rate in order to achieve the minimum force to reach the existing municipal sewer lines. The lift station control panel is a UL listed panel with redundant float controls wired for intrinsically safe use.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Segale Properties, LLC (Developer) and Skillings Connolly, Inc. (Civil E.) contacted Romtec Utilities to propose designs for a new wastewater lift station needed at this commercial development site. The priorities of the developer and the engineer were to meet the design standards of the City of Kelso Public Works Department and to keep the lift station costs low. Romtec Utilities provided the complete lift station design submittals and advised Skillings Connolly on how to propose the Romtec Utilities package. This approach allowed Segale Properties to get an affordable wastewater lift station that was approved as being equal to the design standards for the City of Kelso.
