Stormwater Pump Station for Paramount Apartments in Shoreline, WA
Washington Apartment Complex Stormwater Lift Station
This project involved a new apartment complex stormwater lift station that Romtec Utilities provided for the developer in Shoreline, Washington. This apartment complex stormwater lift station will provide stormwater pumping for the Paramount Apartments which is a 35 unit complex. At Romtec Utilities we design, manufacture, and supply stormwater lift stations for developments all over the country including for apartments, business centers, and industrial buildings. The stormwater lift station will provide the apartment complex with its pumping needs as it has two parking levels including one below grade. The system pumps up to 95 gallons per minute, with relatively low flows, so we utilized ½ horsepower Goulds submersible pumps in a duplex configuration. The system utilizes a precast wet well, Nolta MS1 floats, a Primex alternator, and NEMA steel enclosure for the controls. We worked with the developer to bring this apartment complex stormwater lift station to life for the Paramount Apartments.
Shoreline, Washington Apartment Complex
Shoreline, Washington is in King County and sits just north of the city limits of Seattle next to the Puget Sound.
Interstate 5 and Highway 99 run through the city of Shoreline connecting it with the greater Seattle area.
The population of Shoreline was 58,608 at the 2020 census, up about 5,000 people from ten years earlier, making it the 22nd largest city in Washington.
Shoreline began as a community in 1890 in anticipation of the Great Northern Railway. It was also connected to the Seattle-Everett Interurban streetcar line that helped grow the population in the early 1900’s.
Lake Washington sits just to the southeast of Shoreline.
Attractions in Shoreline include Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, Kruckeberg Botanic Garden, Shoreline Historical Museum, Shoreview Park, Burke-Gilman Trail, Seattle Golf Club, Twin Ponds Park, Ridgecrest Park, Hamlin Park, Echo Lake Park, Innis Arden Reserve Park, Sunset Park, Innis Arden Swimming Club, and Cromwell Park.
This project is near the future Shoreline South/148th Station, where the City of Shoreline sought to encourage more density near the station.
Shoreline Apartment Complex Stormwater Pump Station
This is a stormwater pump station brought to us by Blueline Group to be privately owned and maintained for the Paramount Apartments. The original developer sold the project to WZL Enterprises, LLC. Gregg Property Associates, LLC is the construction management company that oversaw the project.
This apartment building stormwater lift station provides for the stormwater pumping needs at Paramount Apartments.
We were proud to provide this apartment complex stormwater station in Shoreline, Washington in partnership with WZL Enterprises, the Blueline Group, Ryan General Contractors, and Rayne Enterprises in Shoreline, Washington.
The stormwater pump station is for a 35-unit apartment complex. The complex is going near the Shoreline South/148th Station light rail station that is expanding. It is close to the Northgate Mall that has gone through redevelopment.
The apartment building has 20 parking stalls on two levels, structured and partly below grade along with 22 bike stalls. In the event of a major storm event, this apartment complex stormwater pump station will be able to keep up with the stormwater runoff.
This apartment complex stormwater lift station is an example of how we work with developers, civil engineers, and various other entities to deliver a system that meets the pumping needs of the site.
