The Stringfield at Granite Mountain site sits above much of the surrounding area, creating extreme elevation challenges for water delivery. Because of this, a basic water system using gravity alone would not work. Instead, a booster pump station and lift station system was needed to move water uphill and keep pressure consistent throughout the development.

The Canyon Park lift station and booster skid project represents a successful partnership between Romtec Utilities, the City of Monrovia, and Merrell Johnson Engineering. Romtec Utilities was contacted to provide a design service order for a new booster pump station and control building for a housing development in the Town of Samoa. This booster pump station was designed to meet the immediate and future flow requirements of the development as it continued to expand.
