Utica East Ohio Midstream needed a new pump stations to handle low flows of stormwater runoff at its new Kensington Plant in Ohio. To responsibly contain potentially hazardous stormwater from the topsoil, this pump station was designed with a double-wall fiberglass wet well with interstitial leak detection. The pumping system also included corrosion resistant components and sensors due to the potential presences of LNGs in the stormwater runoff. Pumps were engineered with 7.5 hp Ebara pumps in a duplex configuration, and a UL listed control panel was supplied with added cable lengths for installation outside of NFPA classified spaces near the pump station.

This package lift station was configured to handle low flows of industrial process water used for nuclear power generation. This lift station was one of the earliest systems to be installed during the construction of two new reactors at the plant. Submersible grinder pumps in a duplex configuration and a below grade valve assembly comprise the principal mechanical operations of the station. An outdoor control panel utilizes floats for primary liquid level-sensing, and an autodialer for communications and alarm notification.
