Beaumont, California Phased Residential Wastewater Lift Station
For this phased residential wastewater lift station, we partnered with Meritage Homes, the developer of The Fairways in Beaumont, California. The residential community includes a resort pool, lap pool, splash pad, fitness center, and the Morgongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon. This phased residential development wastewater pump station project has been ongoing for many years and met the City of Beaumont’s EMWD Standards. The new wastewater pump station is replacing a previous phase pump station at the development. The residential wastewater lift station features a precast 8′ ID x 38′ deep wet well, an above grade valve assembly, Flygt 72 horsepower submersible pumps in a duplex configuration, with a Compactlogix primary controller, and a Generac generator.
This phased development for the Fairways’ community has been a huge success in partnership with Meritage Homes, the City of Beaumont, and the civil engineer, Proactive Engineering Consultants West.

Residential Wastewater Lift Station
This is a wastewater pump station for a project that has been in development in California for many years. Originally, Romtec Utilities provided designs that were approved by the City of Beaumont. However, after the city underwent a complete restructuring, the previously approved design had to be revised and reapproved.
Romtec Utilities worked directly with the developer and engineer to produce a new phased residential wastewater lift station that met the City’s recently adopted EMWD Standards. This pump station replaced the “Phase 4 Pump Station” completed by Romtec Utilities. This was the third project in the City of Beaumont designed and supplied by Romtec Utilities.
The phased wastewater pump station serves a residential development, receiving water through a gravity system and pumping it a long distance to the City’s gravity system.
This project recently transferred ownership from Argent to Meritage Homes. As a result, Meritage has assumed the Romtec Utilities contract and scope, becoming our direct customer for the remainder of the project. Meritage Homes is a real estate development company and the fifth-largest home builder in the U.S. Although privately developed, the project is owned by the City of Beaumont.
Proactive Engineering Consultants West, Inc. was the civil engineer working with Romtec Utilities and the developer on this wastewater lift station. Proactive Engineering is a California based civil engineering consulting firm.

Phased Development Pump Station
Romtec Utilities partnered with Argent, and later Meritage Homes, along with the City of Beaumont and Proactive Engineering, on this new residential development lift station. Romtec Utilities collaborates with real estate developers, municipalities, and engineers across the country to provide wastewater and stormwater pump stations that support new developments. A key part of this process involves working with the city to establish pumping parameters that meet their standards.
A phased residential wastewater lift station is critical to new development, as it accommodates both current and future flows as the residential area expands. That’s why we provided this system, which replaced a lift station from a previous phase, to meet the pumping needs of the next phase with an increased capacity of 763 gallons per minute.
At Romtec Utilities, we design, manufacture, and supply pump systems tailored to each project’s needs, working closely with municipalities and engineers while keeping long-term maintenance crews in mind. Careful consideration of the control systems is a critical component in ensuring the system’s maintainability and longevity.
