Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
As the community was expanding, it was apparent that they needed a wastewater lift station, so Romtec Utilities worked with TRC, which is a leading, global consulting, engineering, and construction management firm, to develop the wastewater lift station.
The wastewater lift station pump systems have a Xerxes fiberglass barrel, (2) Flygt pumps, Siemens ultrasonic pressure transducer, XPS-15, Siemens HydroRanger control – 3 PHASE / 480V / NEMA 4 enclosure. There is a RACO verbatim autodialer and an electrical junction box with controls to the wastewater pump lift station.
This duplex wastewater lift station has a fiberglass Xerxes tank. One of the best design features of fiberglass is its ability to be manufactured with a double-wall and leak detection. A fiberglass tank has a high level of reliability and cost savings compared to concrete and steel tanks.
It can pump 2500 gallons per minute. The wet well features a 12′ diameter, 8″ discharge piping, NP3202 Flygt pumps, and a 10″ – 10″ Dia valve vault.
Double-wall fiberglass tanks provide a very robust wet-well material. These tanks prevent a wet well from leaking or leaching into the surrounding environment.
Romtec Utilities designs, manufactures, and supplies wastewater pump systems like this one for neighborhoods, cities, and developments all over the country. Our team of design experts can design a system to meet all local building codes while creating a system that meets the exact pumping needs of the project or development.
Pahrump Utility Company provides maintenance and upkeep of the pump system. Sati Construction was the installing contractor while M&M Electric, In. was the electrical contractor for the installation.
Romtec Utilities was happy to be a part of this wastewater lift station for Nye County Public Works department in Pahrump, Nevada.
