After the historic Bay Meadows racetrack closed down, a large residential development began that required this large wastewater lift station. A triplex configuration of 30 hp Flygt pumps handles the high flow rates of this system. A blower system was provided as part of the lift station odor control specified by the City. The lift station electrical controls comprised a PLC, float control level-sensors, and a backup generator. The panel includes an Arc Armor® enclosure that provides safe access to low-voltage controls and separate access for high-voltage circuits.
Pacific Convenience & Fuels|Shingle Springs, CA|15 GPM - ' TDH
The construction of a new gas station and convenience store required this low flow sewage lift station. Goulds submersible grinder pumps in a duplex configuration are designed to macerate and pump wastewater that contains solids or fabric materials without becoming clogged. The complete valve assembly is vertically oriented and contained within the wet well discharge piping. An outdoor UL listed control panel contains an intrinsically safe barrier for in-well electrical, floats for level-sensing controls, and a NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure.
Kelso Village | Kelso, WA | 308 GPM - 112' TDH
A new development for a commercial park needed this wastewater lift station to connect the development to the municipal sewer system. Submersible centrifugal pumps in a duplex configuration were engineered to meet the medium flow high head conditions of the force main. This system needs to pump at a predefined flow rate in order to achieve the minimum force to reach the existing municipal sewer lines. The lift station control panel is a UL listed panel with redundant float controls wired for intrinsically safe use.
King Sooper?s Marketplace|Fort Collins, CO|150 GPM - 6.8' TDH
The food & drug store serving a nearby university needed this replacement package wastewater lift station for medium flow rates. Submersible solids handling pumps are designed to operate with suspended grease in the water from a cafeteria in the market. The lift station valves are vertically integrated into the sump discharge piping. An indoor UL listed control panel contains an intrinsically safe barrier for the in-well electrical controls, and an autodialer and basic alarm fulfill communication requirements. Floats are the primary and backup level-sensing control devices.
Commercial Development|The Dalles, OR|50 GPM - 14.4' TDH
A new commercial development where a Goodwill retail store was being built needed this robust wastewater lift station. The hatch and below-grade structural components of this lift station have an H-20 rating for occasional traffic so that the system could be located in the parking lot of the development. This also included a below-grade, explosion proof electrical junction box. Goulds vortex pumps in a duplex configuration were chosen to handle unknown solids from future tenants of the development. Electrical controls were provided through a standard UL listed panel.
