The construction of the Magnolia Pacific Technical School in Santa Ana, California needed a wastewater lift station to handle its sewage with medium flows of 100 gpm. To meet these flow requirements, Romtec Utilities engineered a lift station with 5 hp Weil submersible grinder pumps in a duplex configuration.
Pomona College | Claremont, CA | 370 GPM - 14.5' TDH
Pomona College in Claremont, California needed this new stormwater pump station to handle a wide flow range of runoff.
The City of Bakersfield|Bakersfield, CA|55 GPM - 38.5' TDH
A new school required this low flow package lift station in order to handle the neighborhood’s increased flow of municipal wastewater. Ebara vortex pumps in a duplex configuration are used for deep well pumping. They are explosion proof in order to meet the Class 1, Division 1 hazardous location requirements. A below-grade valve vault provides easy access to system plug valves, shut-off valves, and swing check valves. An outdoor UL listed control panel manages the lift station’s mechanical and electrical systems with float controls for liquid level-sensing and a basic alarm.
City of Battle Ground|Battle Ground, WA|80 GPM - 28' TDH
When a public high school decommissioned an existing septic system, a replacement package lift station was needed to handle the sewage from the campus. Tsurumi submersible cutter pumps were used to pass most solids and cut larger solids into passable sizes (about 1¼” diameter). The pumps also meet the low flow low head requirements for the new 3” PVC force main. The manhole and below grade valve vault are traffic rated. The outdoor control panel was mounted on the existing support structure for the decommissioned septic.
USACE Prime Power|St. Roberts, MO|300 GPM - 143' TDH
These package lift stations were designed to meet the high head pumping requirements for this training facility of the US Army Corps of Engineers. For one station with over 7,000 ft. of 8” force main, 35 hp duplex submersible centrifugal pumps were supplied to achieve the 300 gpm flow rate . The second lift station used smaller, 4 hp duplex grinder pumps to meet its pumping requirements. Outdoor UL listed control panels utilize float controls for level-sensing and soft starters to provide advanced pump diagnostics and to reduce inrush currents. Autodialers were specified for communications.
