The Rockefeller Group purchased 7.81 acres of improved land in order to build the Airway Industrial Park in Otay Mesa, California. The land and the development were for a 135,621 square foot distribution center.

Initially, there was concern that the stormwater peak flow could be as high as 30 CFS. Romtec, working with Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc., Ware Malcomb, and Bushra Tsai were able to develop a new drainage plan and reduce the peak flow to 4.5 CFS which made the development of the site feasible.

Dempsey Construction was the general contractor and subcontracted Rand Engineering for the utilities on this project. Romtec Utilities worked with Rand Engineering, who installed the lift station. Rand had a great understanding of the pumping system and the project and they too were very active and motivated in the development of the pumping plan.

– Primary Controller: Alternator Relay
– Primary Level Sensing: (4) NOLTA MS1 Floats
– NEMA 4 Painted Steel Enclosure

The Airway Industrial Park features a 32’ clear height, 185’ truck yard, truck trailer parking and an efficient office design.

The property is zoned for industrial use and will be designated for single-tenant or multi-tenant occupancy.
