City of Lemoore – Turnkey Sewer Lift Station
Project Description
Romtec Utilities designed, supplied, and installed a wastewater lift station for a new housing development in Lemoore, California. The lift station connects to the city sewer with medium flows of wastewater to treatment. Flygt submersible pumps with 2.7 hp motors were installed in a duplex configuration to meet the first phase flow requirements. Romtec Utilities sized this sewer lift station to handle future phases of the development with capabilities to handle larger pumps down the road. Wastewater levels are detected in real time using a pressure transducer wired for intrinsic safety. Electrical controls for the lift station were also supplied by Romtec Utilities and include a Micrologixs programmable logic controller. Control panel connections to in-well components utilize a disconnect panel, while an autodialer provides lift station telemetry.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Romtec Utilities was contacted to design, supply, and construct a wastewater lift station for a new housing development in the City of Lemoore, California. Reverie by Lennar Homes is a large housing developer building 174 single family homes once, completed. In order to meet the immediate and future calculated flow rates, Romtec Utilities designed the lift station to be upgraded. The wet well structure was designed to accommodate larger pumps, and the discharge elbows are able to meet the current Flygt pumps and larger pumps when the system is upgraded. The design of the lift station was submitted for review to the City of Lemoore, who will ultimately take ownership of the system. Romtec Utilities provided turnkey construction services for this wastewater system and utilized Sierra Construction to perform the site work as a subcontractor. Additionally, Romtec Utilities sent a start-up technician to commission the lift station and provide training to City of Lemoore personnel who will be responsible for operating the system.
