Romtec Utilities designed, manufactured, and supplied a municipal wastewater lift station for the City of Cottage Grove in Oregon. The current design includes Flygt pumps and controls, which the city already uses for wastewater operations. This equipment standardization simplifies operator training, maintenance, spare parts inventory, and long-term service. Similarly, the communication system will use a standalone auto-dialer instead of full SCADA integration to match the city’s operations while still providing dependable alarm monitoring.

The project team aligned utility improvements with funding timelines, phased construction, and the planned buildout of the Cleveland Street corridor.

The city completed Cleveland Street construction in phases so roadway and utility work could advance before the lift station enters service. This approach places essential infrastructure ahead of demand while giving the city flexibility as the area grows.
