Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
This is a wastewater pump station for a project that has been in development in California for many years. Originally, Romtec Utilities provided designs approved by the City of Beaumont, then the city was fully restructured, and the previously approved design needed to be adjusted and reapproved.
Romtec Utilities is working directly with the developer and engineer to produce a new system that will meet the City’s recently adopted EMWD Standards. This pump station will replace the “Phase 4 PS” completed by Romtec Utilities. This will be the third project in the City of Beaumont designed and supplied by Romtec Utilities.
It serves a residential development and takes water via a gravity system and pumps a long distance to the City’s gravity system.
This project recently transferred ownership from Argent to Meritage Homes. As such, Meritage has assumed the Romtec Utilities contract and scope and will now be our direct customer for the remainder of this project. Meritage Homes is a real estate development company that is the fifth largest home builder in the U.S.
The project was driven to Romtec Utilities by Argent, the developer, which changed to Meritage Homes. This is a private project owned by the City of Beaumont.
Proactive Engineering Consultants West, Inc. was the civil engineer working with Romtec Utilities and the developer on this wastewater lift station. Proactive Engineering is a California based civil engineering consulting firm.
Since Romtec Utilities partnered with Argent and then Meritage Homes, along with the City of Beaumont, and Proactive Engineering, this new residential development has become a great place to live, play, and enjoy various amenities.
Romtec Utilities works with real estate developers, cities, and engineers all over the country to provide wastewater and stormwater pump stations to facilitate these developments. Part of that process is working with the city on the pumping parameters to meet their standards.
At Romtec Utilities we design, manufacture, and supply pump systems to fit the project’s needs and work on the controls and specifics in conjunction with municipalities, and engineers, with the long-term maintenance crew in mind. Considering the controls is an important part of the maintenance and longevity of the system.
