Project Description
Romtec Utilities designed and supplied a wastewater lift station for a large power company in Danville, California. The new system was designed for a low flow pumping application and uses Keen 2hp pumps installed in a duplex configuration for redundant pumping capabilities. Precast concrete was chosen as the material for the wet well and will work well in this sanitary sewer application. Nolta Mechanical floats were installed at 4 heights inside the sump to detect and communicate liquid levels to the control panel. The system was configured to operate with a third party control panel.

Why They Chose Romtec Utilities
Romtec Utilities was hired to provide the design and supply of a new wastewater lift station for Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG & E) in California. The new lift station needed to handle low flows of wastewater while meeting the design standards of PG & E. Romtec Utilities designed this lift station using design criteria (flow rates, force main length, and elevations) provided by BKF Engineers. This project moved forward once the lift station design was reviewed and approved. The installation of the system was then sent out to public bid and awarded to Roebbelen, the general contractor. Romtec Utilities delivered the system once the job site was ready and sent a delivery adviser to help the contractor identify components as they arrived.
