To handle a combination of sewer and cooling process wastewater, this commercial facility purchased four identical Romtec Utilities package lift stations. This was the third of four lift stations supplied to Microsoft’s 70-acre data center. Aircraft rated hatches are included for each lift station to handle heavy forklift traffic. Valve cans provide easy access to the below grade check valves with much less material costs than a valve vault. An outdoor UL listed control panel includes floats for level controls and an intrinsically safe barrier for in-well electrical controls.
Confederate Tribes of Grand Ronde|Grand Ronde, OR|400 GPM - 30' TDH
The Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde Community purchased this lift station to meet the medium sewage flows of a new housing development. Submersible solids handling pumps in a duplex configuration are protected from influent by two deflector panels on two inlet lines. A below-grade concrete valve vault provides easy access to the system valves, pressure gauges, actuators, and access ports. An outdoor UL listed control panel is protected by a shelter/shade structure. Liquid level-sensing is accomplished with a conductive probe and backup float controls.
Chobani Yogurt|Twin Falls, ID|83 GPM - 16' TDH
A second lift station was added shortly after the plans for the Chobani , Inc. manufacturing facility revealed larger flows of wastewater. Similar to the first, this lift station uses two submersible centrifugal pumps to discharge effluent to a pre-treatment facility. The force main length to the pre-treatment facility created low head conditions with medium pumping flows. The system valves are integrated into the discharge pumping to simplify the design and lower the cost, and a simple wall mounted control panel provides uncomplicated system controls.
Chobani Yogurt|Twin Falls, ID|20 GPM - 25' TDH
Romtec Utilities designed this packaged wastewater lift station to meet the medium sewage flows of this giant yogurt manufacturing plant. This duplex lift station uses Ebara submersible centrifugal pumps designed for wastewater applications. The force main from this pump station to a pre-treatment facility is not long, creating low head conditions. The system valves are integrated into the discharge piping to simplify the design and lower the cost. An outdoor UL listed control panel is wall mounted to the side of the plant for easy, visible access.
The City of the Dalles | The Dalles, OR | 38 GPM - 28.2' TDH
The City of the Dalles required this replacement package lift station to meet medium flows of municipal wastewater. This lift station included submersible centrifugal pumps in a duplex configuration with the ability to handle some suspended solids. The control panel for this lift station includes SCADA software to interact with a remote telemetry unit (RTU). These two systems provide communications from the pressure transducer and conductive probe level sensing devices. They also communicate calculated flow rates and any voltage variances in from the power supply.
