City of Beaumont – Wastewater Package Pump Station
Wastewater Lift Station Project Description
Argent Management developed a community in Beaumont, California called Fairway Canyon which includes golf courses, parks, a clubhouse, and amazing mountain views. Romtec Utilities designed, supplied, and commissioned the Phase 4 system which is an interim wastewater package pump station that was installed prior to another system that will be developed in the future.
One of the unique aspects of this system is that it incorporates the use of an above-ground valve/piping assembly. This was a requirement by the City of Beaumont for this project and is common in southern California because there is not the risk of freezing, that other locations might experience.
The pump station was designed to the City of Beaumont’s standards which have adopted Eastern Municipal Water District requirements, as the city will also be the end owner of the system. EMWD standards also called for a diesel particulate filter for the generator.
Argent brought this project to Romtec Utilities as we had already worked with them on the permanent Fairway Canyon Pump Station design. They needed the interim (Phase 4) package pump station completed quickly so we worked with Argent’s Engineer, Proactive Engineering, on the pump station with a quick turnaround to complete package pump station designs for the City of Beaumont review.
Package Pump Station Design
Romtec Utilities’ understanding of the City’s requirements, our ability to quickly work through all aspects of the package pump station (design, production, delivery, and commissioning), and full-service support through the entire process is why Argent comes to Romtec for their pump station needs.
Romtec is experienced in completing robust municipal grade pump stations in the quickest and most cost-effective way. By using Romtec, Argent knows the pump station portion of their project is handled through acceptance by the owner.
