Dolce Vita Development is building a brand-new 5 story retirement facility in Granbury, Texas with a gorgeous view of Lake Granbury.

Romtec Utilities worked directly with the developer Lakeside at Granbury by Dolce Vita to design and supply the package wastewater lift station. This development provides great views and high-end amenities to a retirement community centrally located with access to a variety of local activities.

The senior living complex will feature 146 units, a clubhouse, dog park, zen garden, fitness center, hair salon, concierge service and a sky lounge that will overlook the Brazos River. Granbury is about 40 miles southwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

RU was contacted by Texas Water Engineering (TXWE) who was the utilities engineer on the project regarding pump selection for the private development. The discussion led to Terra Associates who was the engineer on record introducing us to Dolce Vita. RU was then contracted to provide the whole lift station as a package.

It was a collaborative effort between TXWE, Terra and RU on the success of the design process. Terra and TXWE helped provide design criteria, perform internal team reviews, making site adjustments per recommendations, and facilitate the submissions from Romtec Utilities to the reviewers.

The general contractor was the NRP group while the subcontractor Kickin’ A installed the package lift station. Hunt and Joiner was the foundation engineer while HEDK Architects (previously BGO Architects) was the architect on the project.

The wastewater lift station features:

– Precast 687 Valve Vault w/ 6″ Piping
– Duplex Ebara 10Hp Submersible Solids Handling Pumps
– Primary Controller: Schneider Logic Relay
– Primary Level Sensing: Endress & Hauser (E&H) FMX21 Pressure Transducer (PT)
– Secondary Level Sensing: (4) NOLTA MS1 Floats Wired for Intrinsically Safe
– NEMA 4 Painted Steel Enclosure
The Duty Point is 486 GPM @ 29′ TDH.
