This municipal lift station in the Napa Valley was designed to handle medium sewage flows and medium head conditions. Flygt sewer pumps were supplied in a duplex configuration to integrate with the Tops Basin and discharge elbows. The complete structural components of this lift station were designed to finish two feet above-grade to be above the flood plain for the area. A proprietary control device and pressure transducer provide the system electrical controls.
Chino Men's Prison|Chino, CA|135 GPM - 30' TDH
This package lift station was designed to meet the medium wastewater flows of this California prison. Solids-handling pumps in a duplex configuration are protected from cascading influent by a drop bowl. The liquid level-sensing is controlled by a pressure transducer and a float in used for emergency backup. A below-grade valve assembly holds the system’s valves, flow meters, and pressure gauges. An outdoor PLC panel with a basic alarm and an added input for a radio modem comprise the systems controls.
PG&E Power Plant|Colusa, CA|300 GPM - 23' TDH
These three package lift stations were designed to meet medium flows of industrial process water with added low flows of industrial stormwater and wastewater. Submersible centrifugal pumps in a duplex configuration were specified to meet the peak flows and water chemistry identified for each pump station. UL listed control panels with floats for liquid level-sensing and basic alarms comprise the system controls for the lift stations. These packaged lift stations were integrated into stormwater, processing, and wastewater plans for the new construction of the Colusa Generating Station.
City of Santa Barbara | Santa Barbara, CA | 275 GPM - 17' TDH
The City of Santa Barbara needed this packaged pump station to manage low stormwater flows from events that occur during the dry season. Duplex submersible pumps capable of passing a 3-inch solid pump the water into an existing sanitary sewer pressure main and on to treatment. This pump station includes an in-ground valve vault with plug and check valves and stainless steel discharge piping to handle oily or contaminated water conditions. Romtec Utilities supplied the complete electrical controls with liquid level sensing, alarm notifications, pump start and stop cycles, above-grade disconnect stand, and intrinsically safe circuits.
The City of Camas | Camas, WA | 126 GPM - 206' TDH
In order to expand the municipal sewer system, this lift station was configured to pump to an existing gravity line flowing to treatment. A 24-foot-deep by 10-foot-diameter wet well collects the sewage flows. The wastewater is pumped at 120 gpm 10,000 lineal feet of 10” force main against 206’ TDH with 23 hp high head submersible solids handling pumps. A sheltered control panel utilizes an intrinsically safe barrier for in-well electrical, such as the pressure transducer and conductive probe for primary and backup level controls.
