This industrial power plant needed a package lift station to meet the requirements for municipal wastewater. The 23-foot-deep sump holds duplex Goulds submersible sewage pumps specified to meet the 50 gpm maximum flow requirements. A precast concrete valve vault contains the system valves and a force main junction. Both the below-grade wet well and valve vault are pedestrian rated. Liquid level-sensing controls are a pressure transducer and floats for backup. The outdoor control panel includes a receptacle for an owner supplied onsite generator.
Dow Chemical Company|Plaquemine, LA|350 GPM - 90' TDH
This package wastewater lift station replacement was delivered largely preassembled for quick and simple installation by the customer. This procedure provided an expertly designed lift station that would uphold the privacy values of the facility. The fiberglass wet well arrived with mounting hardware, discharge piping, and the valve assembly preinstalled. Only the duplex solids handling pumps needed to be lowered after installation of the sump. An outdoor UL listed control panel was designed with float controls for liquid level-sensing and included an autodialer for communications.
Pleasant Valley RV Park|Williston, ND|844 GPM - 38' TDH
A residential boom town of employees from nearby natural gas mining facilities needed a large lift station to handle over 1.2 MGD of wastewater. Submersible Ebara sewage pumps in a triplex configuration were included for the new and future pumping rates resulting from residential growth. The lift station controls are located in a nearby control building. The UL listed control panel utilizes floats for primary and backup level controls, an autodialer for communications, and a permanent onsite generator for backup power.
Exxon Mobil|Chalmette, LA|30,000 GPM - Various TDH
To address the industrial stormwater concerns of coastal Louisiana, this large, precast concrete pump station was designed to meet super-high flows of runoff at this Exxon refinery. Five vertical turbine pumps and three submersible pumps, capable of pumping 60,000 GPM, are spread across three large interconnected rectangular wet wells. This approach was much more affordable than a single poured in place sump, and the connection tubes make the functionality near identical. A robust steel baffle slows incoming stormwater at the inlet line to reduce turbulence and wear on the sump components.
Dow Chemical Company|Plaquemine, LA|8,500 GPM - 32' TDH
This package pump station was designed to respect the confidentiality of this industrial facility. The entire system was delivered with much of the hardware preinstalled in the fiberglass wet well to facilitate simple, “drop-in” installation.
