These package lift stations were designed to meet the high head pumping requirements for this training facility of the US Army Corps of Engineers. For one station with over 7,000 ft. of 8” force main, 35 hp duplex submersible centrifugal pumps were supplied to achieve the 300 gpm flow rate . The second lift station used smaller, 4 hp duplex grinder pumps to meet its pumping requirements. Outdoor UL listed control panels utilize float controls for level-sensing and soft starters to provide advanced pump diagnostics and to reduce inrush currents. Autodialers were specified for communications.
Ketchikan Back Island|Ketchikan, Alaska|51.1 GPM - 46' TDH
Romtec Utilities was selected to design and supply a complete packaged Buy America wastewater lift station for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) project located on Back Island near Ketchikan, Alaska. Lakehurst Naval Air Station|Trenton, NJ|250 GPM - 24.77' TDH
This wastewater lift station was designed to meet the standards of the Lakehurst Naval Air Station while remaining cost effective. A duplex pump configuration utilized submersible 7.5 HP Weil Slicer Pumps to handle suspended solids in the sewage. A UL listed control panel was designed and manufactured in a NEMA 4 enclosure for outdoor operation. Nolta floats were used for the in-well liquid level sensing. The below-grade structural components were designed and supplied precast concrete vaults painted with a marine epoxy exterior coating to prevent moisture incursion.
US Marine Corps Base|Camp Pendleton, CA|1,585 GPM - 25' TDH
The Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton needed this large wet-dry wastewater lift station to replace an existing system to allow the construction of new enlisted quarters. The new lift station included triplex dry-pit pumps to handle super-high flows of sewage from the facilities. An 8’ diameter precast concrete sump collects the sewage. Suction lines connect the sump to a 200-square-foot rectangular dry pit where the pumps, flow meter, and valve assembly are located. This lift station also includes an upstream grinder pit with a Macho Monster sewage grinder to pulverize solids into passable sizes.
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba - Sanitary Lift Station
Romtec Utilities developed a complete fiberglass pump station package that saves on weight and space for shipment to Cuba to be owned and operated by the US Navy.
