To extend the sewer system for Crescent City in Del Norte County, this sewage lift station was added to a new gravity line and force main. Duplex submersible chopper pumps pump the sewage to an existing gravity line and on to treatment. An easy-to-access below grade valve assembly contains the check and plug valves. An outdoor PLC panel is connected to a customer-supplied generator and is also protected by a customer-supplied shelter. Primary liquid level sensing is by a pressure transducer with floats as a backup.
The City of Carpinteria | Caprpenteria, CA | 87 GPM - 158.8' TDH
An upscale beachside community in California needed this medium flow wastewater lift station to replace septic systems used at each home. To meet the requirements of the beachside location, this system includes Ameron T-Lock PVC lining on both a precast concrete sump and emergency overflow basin. A below-grade vault contains the system’s valve and meter assemblies. Large bluffs between the beach and the city treatment plant required super-high head submersible pumps. The system electrical controls comprise redundant controls and level sensing with SCADA integration.
Coyote Springs Development|Moapa, NV|121 GPM - 55' TDH
This package lift station system was designed to meet the medium sewage flows of this new residential development and private golf course. Submersible solids handling pumps in a duplex configuration manage the influent for this deep well, and an above-grade valve assembly maintains proper discharge operations. An outdoor UL listed control panel includes float controls and a basic alarm. This package lift station was one of the first systems installed for the Coyote Springs development after government approvals in 2010.
USACE Prime Power|St. Roberts, MO|300 GPM - 143' TDH
These package lift stations were designed to meet the high head pumping requirements for this training facility of the US Army Corps of Engineers. For one station with over 7,000 ft. of 8” force main, 35 hp duplex submersible centrifugal pumps were supplied to achieve the 300 gpm flow rate . The second lift station used smaller, 4 hp duplex grinder pumps to meet its pumping requirements. Outdoor UL listed control panels utilize float controls for level-sensing and soft starters to provide advanced pump diagnostics and to reduce inrush currents. Autodialers were specified for communications.
Sutter Medical Center|Santa Rosa, CA|90 GPM - 25.1' TDH
The construction of this new hospital required a package lift station system to handle medium flows of wastewater. This comprehensive system includes five below-grade vaults. Four concrete vaults comprise the valve vault, metering vault, odor control vault, and wet well. Additionally, an 18,000 gallon fiberglass vault was included as an overflow tank for emergency backup storage. Tsurumi cutter pumps in a duplex configuration start and stop pumping cycles on level with primary and backup float controls. The outdoor UL listed control panel controls the total operation of the system valves, meters, sensors, pumps, and additional electrical.
